Nerdy high school senior Dizzy Harrison (Qualls) has
finally gotten lucky. Thanks to an unlikely role model (Griffin),
he's got a second chance to be the guy with no past in The
New Guy, a hilarious story about wiping the slate clean
and reinventing yourself. Locked in the pen for an array
of misdeeds at his old school, Dizzy learns the art of intimidation
and other fine points of 'prison cool' from fellow inmate
Luther (Griffin). This mismatched duo joins forces, ultimately
transforming geeky dud Dizzy into the hip, studly "Gil
Harris." Transferred to a new school after his release,
"Gil" destroys the popularity-obsessed social
system, boosts school morale and wins the heart of Danielle
(Dushku), the gorgeous girl-next-door. Life as the new guy
is great-or is it?
Dizzy Harrison (DJ Qualls) is the biggest dork at Rocky
Creek High School. All the jocks pick him on, his manhood
is "broken" by an 80 year-old woman in front of
the whole school, and he plays in a 70s-era band named Suburban
Funk. Dizzy eventually lands himself in jail for some dumb
reason and meets Luther (Eddie Griffin), our narrator. Luther
teaches Dizzy to be "cool" by showing him how
to dance and intimidate people using the "crazy eyes"
(one of the only funny bits of the film).
Dizzy, or Gil as he is now named, is transferred to a new
school with a new look and attitude. He becomes popular
and befriends the head cheerleader in school, Danielle (Eliza
Dushku). Will Dizzy's past catch up with him and kill his
sudden popularity? Do we care?
This is a crazy movie! Movie rocks like someone said a few
punches are given in trailors but what the hell? All the
movie is full of funny moments... almost evry 5secs there's
a great joke comming up. Of course like in evry movie there
are a few unfunny jokes but this is not really the case
because there are about 2 unfunny ones. This movie is great.
DJ Qualls is da bomb Eliza Dushku is not only hot like in
the other movies but plays great! I don't really know all
the actors name but man the black guy in prison is too damn
funny! The movie is da bomb (like I said before) I saw it
twice and il go see it again. I'l download it really soon
too. If you feel tired and bored go see this movie. U'l'have
a great time. If you got great news and wanna spend some
nice time to ''celebrate'' the news This Is Your Movie!
If you just wanna kiss a girl in the theater This Is The
Best Time! And a lot more cases... man in evry cases, in
